Import Duties & Clearance Fees for Shipments to the United States

Orders shipped from the European Union to the United States may be subject to import duties, taxes, and clearance fees charged by U.S. authorities and/or the carrier. These fees are not included in the product price or shipping costs and are outside of our control.

Possible charges (may include, but are not limited to)

Customs duties

  • Charged depending on the declared value of the order and the product classification. The amount varies and is determined by U.S. customs regulations. Customers are responsible for checking applicable duties in advance.

FDA (Food and Drug Administration) clearance fee

  • Currently USD 29.00 per shipment, which may apply when products fall under FDA control (e.g., food-contact products such as drinking bottles).

Carrier brokerage / disbursement fees (FedEx)

  • Since we ship with FedEx, FedEx may charge a disbursement/brokerage fee of USD 15.00 for advancing customs payments and handling the clearance process.

Who pays these fees?

All applicable import duties, taxes, and clearance fees are the responsibility of the recipient and must be paid for the shipment to be delivered.

Important notes

  • These charges are not applied to every shipment. They may occur in individual cases, depending on customs inspection and regulatory requirements.

  • Regulations are set by the destination country and may change at any time. We unfortunately cannot influence these processes.
