Screen printing in low-temperature firing (approx. 200 °C)
This process uses organic colors that harden at low temperatures. This enables a particularly brilliant color spectrum, similar to classic paper printing. A common application is the application of detailed, multi-colored motifs or special colors such as magenta and cyan in order to create complex designs on the bottle.
Advantages:
Due to the low firing temperature, bright colors such as pure cyan or magenta can be used, which enable very high color fidelity and brilliance.
Restrictions:
The surface is not completely scratch-resistant. Contact with sharp objects may cause scratches.
Screen printing with high-temperature firing (approx. 630 – 660 °C)
In this technique we use ceramic colors that are fired at high temperatures. During the process, the color particles fuse permanently with the glass surface. To ensure durability, the color is applied thinly, which is why colors appear somewhat less intense compared to low-temperature firing.
Advantages:
This method provides an exceptionally scratch-resistant surface and a very strong bond between glass and paint.
Restrictions:
Not all colors can be implemented (e.g. magenta or pure cyan), and some shades appear less vibrant.
