How long is the warranty under consumer law?
According to EU consumer law, you have a 2-year statutory warranty period starting from the day you receive your order. This covers defects that were already present at the time of delivery.
Please note: the warranty does not cover accidental damage (e.g. drops), improper use, or normal wear and tear. If you notice an issue, please contact us as soon as possible – we’re happy to help and will always try to find a fair solution.
Does spottle offer an additional warranty?
Yes. In addition to the statutory 2-year warranty, we offer a voluntary 12-month warranty on certain product features. This warranty covers, for example:
- Manufacturing defects: material or workmanship issues from production
- Leakage: problems with the bottle cap seal
- Insulation issues: applies to stainless steel bottles with thermal function if insulation no longer works properly
Please note: This voluntary warranty only applies to defects caused by manufacturing errors – not to damage resulting from improper use, external impact, or normal wear and tear.

What is not covered by the warranty?
Our warranty does not cover damage caused by the following:
- Breakage, cracks, or chips from drops or impacts
- Normal wear and tear such as scratches, discoloration, or chipped paint
- Use with carbonated drinks in bottles not designed for it (e.g. 1.5 L glass bottle, 2 L glass bottle, insulated bottles)
- Damage from extreme temperatures, such as freezing the bottle
- Improper cleaning, for example:
– Putting non-dishwasher-safe parts (like lids) in the dishwasher - Odors caused by insufficient cleaning
💡 Note: Glass is a fragile material. Even a short drop can cause damage — and unfortunately, that’s not covered under warranty.

How can I submit a warranty claim?
Please contact us as soon as you notice the issue. Send an email to support@spottle.net or use our contact form. Make sure to include the following:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos
Our team will review your case and get back to you promptly with the next steps.
What solution does spottle offer in case of a warranty claim?
- Replacement: If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, you’ll receive a new product free of charge.
- Refund: Alternatively, we can refund the amount to your original payment method – if preferred or if a replacement isn’t possible.
