Where are spottle bottles manufactured?

Our bottles are designed in Austria and manufactured in China – under strict quality and ethical standards. We only work with certified partners who ensure fair working conditions, environmentally friendly processes, and the highest production quality. Our team visits the production sites several times a year to monitor conditions and ensure long-term standards.

Why does spottle produce in China and not in Europe?

China is a global leader in the processing of high-quality borosilicate glass and stainless steel. Thanks to decades of expertise, the quality achieved there currently cannot be matched in Europe – at least not at a price consumers would be willing to pay.
Even if a bottle is assembled in the EU, components like caps or sleeves are typically sourced from China. Some brands may suggest otherwise with a "Made in EU" label.


For us, honesty, fair conditions, and sustainable production matter most – ensured through personal visits, regular audits, and close cooperation with our partners.

Are spottle bottles tested for harmful substances?

Yes – and on a regular basis. All materials used (borosilicate glass, stainless steel, plastic, silicone, and neoprene) are tested by independent laboratories. Our bottles are BPA-free, LFGB-certified, food-safe, and 100% suitable for contact with food and beverages.

How does spottle contribute to sustainability?

Can I buy spottle glass bottles in a physical store?

No, currently our products are available exclusively online – through our official webshop and on Amazon.

Do you offer engraving or logo printing on bottles or lids?

Yes – we offer both laser engraving and logo printing on bottles and lids. Perfect for companies, events, or personalized gifts. Minimum order quantity: 25 units.

What sizes and types of bottles does spottle offer?
  • Glass bottles: 500 ml, 750 ml, 1 L, 1.5 L, 2 L
  • Glass tea bottles: 450 ml, 1 L
  • Insulated stainless steel bottles: 500 ml, 750 ml, 1 L, 1.5 L
Are spottle bottles suitable for hot drinks?

Yes! Our glass bottles are made from heat-resistant borosilicate glass. The stainless steel bottles are double-walled and insulated to keep drinks hot for several hours.

Can I use spottle bottles for carbonated drinks?

Yes – with some exceptions:

  • 1.5 L and 2 L glass bottles: not suitable, as the internal pressure can become too high and may cause the glass to break
  • Insulated stainless steel bottles: not recommended – carbonation can build up pressure over time, which may strain the material

For carbonated drinks, we recommend using our 500 ml, 750 ml, or 1 L glass bottles.

Can I fill stainless steel bottles with milk or dairy drinks?

For short periods – yes, but with caution. Dairy products can ferment when exposed to warmth and create pressure. Please avoid storing them for extended periods and clean the bottle thoroughly afterward.

Are the bottles shatterproof or particularly durable?

spottle glass bottles are made from high-quality borosilicate glass, which is more durable and temperature-resistant than regular glass. However, glass remains a fragile material and may break if dropped or hit.

Our stainless steel bottles are especially sturdy and long-lasting. That said, they can develop scratches or dents if dropped, though this usually doesn’t affect their function.

Can I put spottle bottles in the fridge or freezer?
  • Fridge: Yes
  • Freezer: Use with caution – water expands when frozen and may cause glass bottles to burst. Do not freeze stainless steel bottles.
Are spottle drinking bottles microwave-safe?

❌ No. Neither the stainless steel nor the glass bottles are suitable for use in the microwave.

Are the drinking bottles dishwasher-safe?
  • Yes – but we recommend handwashing with warm water and a bottle brush for the best care
  • Lid: Hand wash only! Dishwasher cleaning may damage the lid

Tip: Always let the lid dry with the inside facing up and leave it open to air out.

How do I clean the lid of my spottle drinking bottle?

The lid should always be cleaned by hand. Please note: damage caused by dishwasher cleaning is not covered under guarantee.

Additional tips:

  • Clean the sealing ring regularly and replace it if needed
  • Discoloration from fruit juices, etc., is possible – especially with clear silicone
  • Bamboo lids may darken over time – this is a natural process and completely harmless
How do I clean the silicone and neoprene sleeves?
  • Silicone sleeve: can go in the dishwasher together with the bottle
  • Neoprene sleeve: machine washable at a maximum of 30 °C on a gentle cycle
Does spottle offer accessories for the bottles?

Can I use multiple discount codes at once?

Usually, only one discount code can be applied per order. Whether multiple codes can be combined depends on the type of discount – for example, free shipping or a percentage offer.

Our system automatically checks whether combining codes is possible. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us – we’ll gladly check it for you.

Yes – the invoice is sent automatically via email. Please check the confirmation email you received after placing your order. In the top right corner, just below your order number, you'll find a link to view and download your invoice.

Can I change or cancel my order afterwards?

If you contact us shortly after placing your order, changes or cancellations are often still possible. Please note: we do our best to process and ship orders as quickly as possible – in some cases, your order may already be packed and handed over to the courier within 30 minutes. The sooner you reach out, the better. Please email us at support@spottle.net and include your order number.
